Diagnostic injections and therapeutic joint treatment

Iniekcje diagnostyczne i lecznicze stawów

In some cases, despite a thorough medical history, manual tests, and imaging studies, it is necessary to further refine the localization of the pain generator. In such situations, I use intra-articular injections of an anesthetic or in combination with an anti-inflammatory medication, which helps reduce pain symptoms and also confirms the exact source of the pain (“what is causing the pain?”).

Injections into the sacroiliac joints, often beyond their diagnostic aspect, can provide long-lasting relief for the patient or guide them to the next stage of denervation of these joints.

In the case of degenerative changes in the spinal joints, for which treatment options are limited, we can focus pain management on blocking pain impulses by using techniques like thermocoagulation (thermolesion) or cryoablation (cryo-lesion).
